The Department of Art, Art History, and Design invites all AAHD students to join the faculty and graduate students for a daylong exploration of Chicago’s art scene. Students will have the opportunity to visit the Art Institute of Chicago, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Field Museum, etc. In addition to the viewing of work at museums, students can walk through Chicago’s gallery districts and view public art in the city. Since each student has their own interests, each will be able to select which museums and galleries they prefer to see.
HOW TO REGISTER/ REQUIRED EMERGENCY CONTACT INFORMATION
You must register by 4:45PM on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 You will be asked to pay a $39.00 student contribution fee which can be paid electronically, required emergency contact information will also be completed by clicking here.
Please note – there are a limited number of seats! You should sign up ASAP to assure you have a spot. If you miss the registration deadline, please contact Jacquelynn Sullivan, email@example.com to see if there are any open spots still available. Please note that this a a non-refundable trip.
WHAT IS THE DATE & TIMELINE
Buses will depart the Kresge Art Center at 7:00 AM on Friday, September 28 and arrive at the Art Institute of Chicago around 10:30AM. You should arrive prior to 6:45 AM to be sure you do not miss the bus!
Once we arrive in Chicago, you will be able to visit and explore until 7PM. At 7PM we will depart from the Art Institute of Chicago for East Lansing. You should expect to arrive at the Kresge Art Center around 12AM.
WHAT ARE ADDITIONAL COSTS
The $39.00 student contribution will cover the bus transportation cost. Admission to the museums, food, and any additional transportation will be the student's responsibility.
It is recommended that you bring your student ID to receive the student admission rates.
